The City Council meeting focused on a proposal by the African American Chamber of Commerce to develop lots in North Lake Charles.  

The planning and zoning meeting covered several subdivision approvals, as well as questions about FEMA flooding and elevation requirements for new structures built after Hurricane Laura.

CPSB received reports and presentations, and voted to approve all agenda items after a brief debate.

The DeQuincy Monthly Council Meeting commenced at 6:00 pm. There were 12 agenda items on the docket, including approval of home condemnations and discussions about property issues. 

At the Sept. 9 city council meeting, a debate broke out about an African American Chamber of Commerce plan to develop vacant lots in North Lake Charles.
